
PADDLE BOARDING FAQS
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Depending on the season; Light, comfy clothes you can move easily in in the summer & wetsuits in the winter. You can either paddle barefoot or in light trainers. Be prepared to get your clothes and shoes a bit wet/mucky!
DO I NEED A CERTAIN LEVEL OF FITNESS TO PADDLEBOARD?
Paddleboarding is for everyone, we will go at your pace during the session. Do let me know if you cant swim or are a weak/ nervous swimmer.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
You may want a towel or change of clothes or a waterproof if its due to rain. Drinking water, ideally in a re-usable bottle, no single use plastic please. Dry bags are available for valuables.
WHERE DO WE PADDLE?
Lessons are held in Teddington and Thames Ditton. The launch point details will be emailed to you. The stretch of water we paddle on is the Thames between Teddington Lock and Hampton Court Palace.
WHAT ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT?
If you are interested in doing a river cleanup paddle or including this into your session just let me know. Looking after the river we paddle on is all part of the fun.
WHAT FACILITIES ARE THERE?
There are changing rooms, showers and free parking available. There are also pubs a short distance away should you wish to go for a celebratory 'I didnt fall in!' drink afterwards.
